Round 10 wrap-up: A journey of innovation, collaboration, and impact
From late May through mid-June, it’s been a whirlwind of innovation, pitching, and celebration at CivTech Scotland. With Round 10’s Accelerator stage wrapping up and Demo Day taking centre stage in Edinburgh—hosted at CodeBase —the past few weeks have been packed with energy, ideas, and real momentum as the cohort reached an exciting finale.
Round 10 Demo Day hosted at the CodeBase Edinburgh events space.
After 15 intense weeks of building, testing, refining, and collaborating with public sector sponsors, the 13 teams in this year’s cohort stepped into the spotlight for Demo Day on 12 June. And wow—what a day it was.
The atmosphere at CodeBase was fantastic. Teams from across Scotland (and beyond) pitched the incredible products they have developed to tackle public sector challenges—from monitoring puffin populations with drones, to real-time emergency response tools, firefighter safety tech, and platforms amplifying citizen voices.
The event drew a fantastic crowd, including the Minister for Business and Employment, Richard Lochhead, Challenge Sponsors, private sector partners, and members of Scotland’s vibrant tech scene. It was a true celebration of creativity, purpose, and the power of tech for good.

On 30 June, CivTech will launch the Demo Day website, featuring all the team pitches—so you can watch, rewind, and share your favourites. If you are interested in learning more about the products, you will not only be able to see the pitches in action, but also explore the teams behind them—and they would be delighted to hear from you.
With Demo Day done, the teams are moving into the Pre-Commercial Stage. That means continuing to work with their public sector partners, refining their products, and getting ready to make real-world impact. It is also a chance to reflect on how far they have come—and where these ideas might go next.

And of course, behind the scenes, CivTech is already gearing up for Round 11. If you are working on a tech-for-good idea—or are just curious about how to get involved—now is the time to start thinking about applying. You can find out more here.
Round 10 has shown the very best of what CivTech is about: collaboration, bold thinking, and solutions that make life better. Whether it is supporting frontline workers, protecting biodiversity, or making public services more accessible, these projects are not just clever—they are meaningful.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our Corporate Sponsor, Amazon Web Services, for their invaluable support throughout Round 10.
So hats off to the Round 10 teams. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for 30 June—you won’t want to miss the launch of the Demo Day website.
